Hadrian. AD 117-138. AV Aureus (19mm, 6.26 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 125/6-7. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / COS III , Hadrian, with cloak floating behind him, on horse prancing right, holding spear in rest. RIC II.3 780; RIC II 187e; Calicó 1226; BMCRE 438; Biaggi 593 var. (obv. bust type). Light reddish tone in recesses, some light marks, tiny surface chip near reverse edge. VF.
