Claudius. AD 41-54. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.72 g, 8h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck AD 46-47. Laureate head right / Pax-Nemesis advancing right, holding out fold of drapery below and holding a winged caduceus pointing down at serpent gliding right with head erect. Cf. RIC I 39 (Rome); cf. von Kaenel Type 24; cf. Lyon 47; cf. RSC 58. Toned, trace of porosity, tiny metal flaws on obverse, a few old scratches on reverse. Good VF.
