NORMAN. Henry I. 1100-1135. AR Penny (20mm, 1.27 g, 4h). Star in Lozenge Fleury type (BMC xiii). London mint; Sperling, moneyer. Struck circa 1121. Crowned bust left, holding scepter / + SPERLIG : ON : L[VND :], lozenge with incurved sides; star at center, fleur at each end, and trefoil of annulets in each quarter. SCBI 11 (Reading), 787; BMC 95 (same rev. die); North 869; SCBC 1274. Official edge snick, legend weak in parts, a few light marks. Good VF. Characterful portrait. Rare.
