Early Parthian drachms follow Hellenistic artistic conventions with realistic portraits. Differentiated from Gotarzes I by G. F. Assar (see Triton VII, lot 428), Sinatrukes wears a long beard and a tiara decorated with a horn and figures of recumbent stags along the crest.
