LESBOS, Mytilene. Circa 521-478 BC. EL Hekte – Sixth Stater (10mm, 2.55 g, 10h). Forepart of bull left / Incuse head of lion right; rectangular punch to left. Bodenstedt Em. 2 var. (M below head on obv.); HGC 6, 927 corr. var. (M not noted); CNG E-389, lot 233; otherwise unpublished in the standard references. Toned. Near EF. Well centered. Very rare without M on obverse, one of only two in CoinArchives.
