CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 290-281 BC. AR Nomos (22mm, 7.83 g, 10h). Warrior, holding shield and two spears, preparing to cast a third, on horse rearing right; ΣI below / Phalanthos, holding distaff, riding dolphin left; to left, eagle standing left; ΦI below. Fischer-Bossert Group 78a, 1066 (V3403/R821); Vlasto 579 (same rev. die); HN Italy 933. Toned, slightly soft strike on reverse. Good VF. Struck from fresh dies.
