CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 302-290 BC. AR Nomos (21mm, 7.90 g, 10h). Warrior, nude but for crested helmet, holding shield and two spears, preparing to cast a third, on horse rearing right; ΣA below / Phalanthos, nude, holding trident and shield decorated with hippocamp, riding dolphin left; ΦI to left, conch shell below. Fischer-Bossert Group 76, 984 (V382/R755); Vlasto 598 (same obv. die); HN Italy 935. Toned, underlying luster, compact flan, minor flan and die flaws in field on reverse. Good VF.
