CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 280-272 BC. AR Nomos (19.5mm, 6.47 g, 11h). Reduced standard. The Dioskouroi riding left; monogram above, ΣΩΔ-A-M-O-Σ below / Phalanthos, nude, holding two spears, shield decorated with hippocamp, and Nike, who crowns him with wreath, riding dolphin left; ΠY to left, waves below. Vlasto 773–9; HN Italy 1011. Toned, flan crack, a few minor repairs to surface. EF.
