BRUTTIUM, Kaulonia. Circa 475-425 BC. AR Nomos (21mm, 8.08 g, 9h). Apollo advancing right, holding branch, small daimon running right on his arm; to left, boukranion within wreath of branches; to right, stag standing right, head left, on basis / Stag standing right. Noe, Caulonia, Group G, 109 (same dies); HN Italy 2049; SNG Copenhagen 1714 (same dies); SNG Fitwilliam 736–7 (same dies); SNG Lloyd 585 (same dies); Jameson 410 (same dies). Toned, patches of find patina, a little off center. Good Fine.

Purchased by the consignor from A.H. Baldwin & Sons, April 1975 (their ticket included).
