Bare head of Diadumenian on left vis-à-vis laureate head of Macrinus on right / River-god Istrus seated left, elbow on rock, resting right hand on galley. H&J, Marcianopolis 6.24.32.2 var. (obv. legend placement); AMNG I 754 var. (same); Varbanov 1284 var. (same). Dark green-brown patina, minor pitting. Good Fine. Very rare, unpublished obverse variety.
