PHRYGIA, Apameia. Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ (21mm, 4.52 g, 6h). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, wearing aegis / Marsyas, naked except for chlamys, reclining left in rocky cave, chest behind him, holding cornucopia and double flute, reclining on inverted vase from which water flows. RPC III 2586A; BMC 157-8; Lindgren III 744 (this coin). Brown patina with light earthen deposits, minor roughness. Near VF. Rare.
