THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 90-80 BC. AR Tetradrachm (36mm, 16.79 g, 12h). In the name and types of Lysimachos. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left, BY below throne, ornate trident in exergue. Callataÿ Group 3, p. 124, obv. die D19; Müller –; HGC 3, 1406; SNG von Post 64 (this coin). Iridescent tone, some doubling, flan flaw on reverse. Good VF.
