LUCANIA, Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. AR Dinomos – Distater (25mm, 15.48 g, 5h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet, decorated with Skylla throwing a stone / Bull butting right; EYΦA above; in exergue, two fish right. Noe, Thurian, Group J, 16 (same dies); HN Italy 1823. Deeply toned with iridescent orange, some weakness of strike on obverse, die break on reverse. VF. Wonderful style.
