Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. Æ As (25.5mm, 9.08 g, 12h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck circa 10-7 BC. Laureate head right; behind head, AVG in rectangular countermark / Front elevation of the Altar of Lugdunum, decorated with the corona civica between laurels, flanked by stylized male figures; to left and right, Victories on columns, facing one another. RIC I 230; Lyon 73; for countermark: Pangerl 8 (applied in Gallia Narbonensis).. Dark green patina with traces of red, numerous scratches on both sides. VF.
