KINGS of MACEDON. temp. Philip III – Antigonos I Monophthalmos. Circa 323-310 BC. Æ Half Unit (15mm, 3.44 g, 12h). Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor. Macedonian shield; boss decorated with head of Herakles facing slightly right, wearing lion skin / Macedonian helmet; kerykeion to lower left, monogram to lower right; no legend. Cf. Price 2803 corr. (no legend on rev.) for similar; CNG E-526, lot 65; otherwise, unpublished. Earthen dark green-brown patina. Near VF. Very rare, unpublished issue.
