Description
POTTERY. Greek Southern Italian Colonies. c. 4th-3rd Cent. BCE. . (93 mm tall x 35 mm wide). A simple lekythos with a wide foot that holds an elongated, tapered body that abruptly tapers again into a long slightly widening lip. A single handle extends from the neck to the top of the body of the vessel. The piece is decorated with areas of black glaze and parts left unadorned. A single line at 1/3rd high on the body of the vessel cuts into the pottery. Handle and flute at top reattached. Some wear to painted surfaces. Website shipping rates do not apply.
