POTTERY. Greek Southern Italian Colonies. c. 4th-3rd Cent. BCE. (145 mm tall x 130 mm wide). An Apulian style Bell Krater with wide foot meeting a well tapered leg of the body that opens up into a wide body and flared lip. To each side, short handles. The body features a central lady of fashion with Rosettes flanking either side. At the neck and lip, a border of vertical lines. The handles appear to have been reattached although expertly so.
