POTTERY. Magna Graecia. 6th-4th Cent. BCE. (170 mm wide x 190 mm tall). An Apulian Kantharos with an extended stem and two vaulted handles. The body is decorated with two Ladies of Fashion adorned in jewelry and wearing hair up in a fancy bun. A flared lip terminated in a rounded edge, to either side, it supports a fancy vaulted handle that forms a ring above the cup and then extends down to the body of the vessel. A single embellishment extends from the bottom. Reassembled from fragments. Wonderful glaze remaining. Minor chipping and some loss at foot.
