York mint; Heriger, moneyer. + EADPIG RE+ o, small cross pattée / (HE)RIG/ER MO in two lines; three crosses between, quatrefoil above, trefoil below. Eadwig All-Fair (955-959), son of King Edmund and his first wife Aelfgifu and great-grandson of Alfred the Great, was proclaimed king of all England at his accession on 23 November 955.
