Description
Licinius I. AD 308-324. Æ Follis (21.5mm, 2.92 g, 6h). Londinium (London) mint. Struck circa mid AD 313-314. Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Genius standing left, holding patera and cornucopia; *|–//PLN. RIC VI 249; RML 607; C&T 8.01.001. Dark olive brown-green patina with verdigris, minor reverse die wear. Good VF. The 1873 Little Orme’s Head Hoard comprised mostly of Tetrarchic Æ Folles should not be confused with the 1907 hoard of the same name consisting almost exclusively with coins of the Romano-British Emperor Carausius.
