EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Alexander III of Macedon. Late 4th-3rd centuries BC. AV Stater (18.5mm, 8.11 g, 12h). Imitating Amphipolis mint issue struck circa 325-319 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right / Nike standing left, holding wreath and cradling stylis; in left field, trident head downward. For prototype: cf. Price 172. Light cleaning scratches, minor marks, slight die shift on reverse, light scuffs and marks on edge. VF.
