LUCANIA, Herakleia. Circa 330/25-281 BC. AR Nomos (19mm, 7.81 g, 8h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet decorated with Skylla hurling a stone / Herakles standing facing, holding club, bow, and arrow, with lion’s skin draped over left arm; above, Nike flying right, crowning Herakles; AΘA to left, aryballos to right. Van Keuren 83; HN Italy 1384. Toned, slightly compact flan, a little die wear on obverse, flan flaw and a touch off center on reverse. VF.
