WESTERN BLACK SEA REGION, Uncertain. Mid-late 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 16.81 g, 1h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, monogram above grain ear. Price 1326A var. (monogram); Wahl 7. Toned, minor doubling and light scratch on obverse, slightly off center on reverse. VF. An attractive coin in hand. Extremely rare, only two in CoinArchives (CNG E-560, lot 20, and CNG 99, lot 44 = CNG 90, lot 377 [the example noted by Wahl]).
