KINGS of MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios. 323-317 BC. AR Hemidrachm (13.5mm, 2.11 g, 9h). In the types of Alexander III. Babylon mint. Struck under Archon, Dokimos, or Seleukos I, circa 323-318/7 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, wheel above monogram; monogram below throne. Cf. Price P191 (drachm); SNG Saroglos 891 corr. (monogram below throne; same obv. die). Toned, a couple of minor marks, softly struck on reverse. VF. Wonderful obverse style.
