Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla, seen from behind vis-à-vis [bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust of Geta]; c/m: laureate and draped bust of Caracalla right within circular incuse / ЄΠ ΓPAMAT IACONOC [CTPAT]ONIKЄΩ/N, Hecate standing facing, head left, wearing kalathos, holding patera and torch; at feet left, dog standing left, looking right. RPC V.2 Online 73981 corr. (rev. legend); BMC 69. For c/m: Howgego 84. Red-brown surfaces, porosity, flan crack, slight reverse doubling. Near VF. Very rare. Portrait of Geta erased, Caracalla’s damnatio memoriae of Geta applied after his murder in AD 211.

None of the three specimens cited in RPC record the beginning of the reverse legend, this coin helps confirm the remaining legend.
