SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Antioch. temp. Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 13.94 g, 12h). In the name and types of the Seleucid king Philip I Philadelphus. Dated year 36 of the Caesarean Era (14/3 BC). Diademed head of Philip I right within fillet border / Zeus Nikephoros seated left; monogram to inner left and below throne, Λϛ (date) in exergue; all within wreath. McAlee 28; RPC I 4149A.2 (this coin); SC 2491.24; Prieur –. Lightly toned, minor scratches. Fine. Extremely rare, only two recorded in RPC, both from the McAlee collection.
