Dated 1845, though struck 1848 or later. REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, head of Marianne left, wearing wreath of infants; star above / PRESSE/ MONÉTAIRE/ ESSAI/ DE LA VIROLE/ BRISÉE/ 1845 within oak wreath.
