Wazin below obverse field / With Hisham’s title al-Mu‘ayyad billah in third line of field. Album 353S; cf Zeno 244180. Edge shaved, some deposit, small patches of gold solder both sides. VF. Rare.
It has been suggested that the word Wazin on the obverse might be a blundered version of Wanudin. Wanudin was the name of a Khazrunid ruler of Sijilmasa who died circa AH 440 / AD 1048.
