REPRODUCTIONS, SICILY. Leontini. Circa 476-466 BC. Cast “AR Stater” (25mm, 13.07 g, 5h). Derived from a British Museum electrotype by Robert Ready (marked R R on edge). Charioteer, wearing long chiton, holding kentron in right hand and reins in left, driving slow quadriga right; above, Nike flying right, crowning horses with open wreath held in both hands / Head of roaring lion right; four barley grains around.
