REPRODUCTIONS, PHOKIS. Delphi. Circa 338/6-334/3 BC. Cast “AR Stater” (22mm, 9.93 g, 6h). Derived from a British Museum electrotype by Robert Ready (marked R R on edge). Veiled and wreathed head of Demeter left / Apollo seated left on omphalos, elbow resting on top of large kithara to left, holding long laurel branch that rests on his shoulder; tripod to left. Cf. Head, Guide, Period III.B., 25 (for electrotype); cf. GPCG pl. 23, 30 (for prototype). Toned. As made.
