CENTRAL EUROPE, Uncertain tribe. 3rd-1st centuries BC. AV Quarter Stater (12mm, 1.87 g, 12h). Mint in the central Europe, possibly Hungarian plain. Head right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet decorated with coiled serpent / Eagle standing facing on perch, head left, holding open diadem(?) in its beak. Triton XIX, lot 2115 (hammer $6500), otherwise unpublished. Lightly toned, minor marks and scratches, edge flaw. VF. Extremely rare, the second known.
