KINGS of MACEDON. Perdikkas II. 451-413 BC. AR Tetrobol (16mm, 2.56 g, 12h). Heavy series. Aigai mint(?). Struck circa 432-422 BC. Horseman, wearing petasos, holding two spears, riding right; below, dog standing right / Forepart of lion right; kerykeion above; all within shallow incuse square. Raymond Group IV, Series 2, 200 (A26d/P24c); HGC 3, 791; SNG Copenhagen 500 (same dies). Attractive iridescent tone, minor flan flaw in margin on reverse. Good VF.
