Description
KINGS of MACEDON. Archelaos. 413-400/399 BC. AR Stater (21.5mm, 10.74 g, 12h). Aigai mint. Head of Apollo right, wearing tainia / Horse standing right, foreleg raised, wearing bridle with trailing rein, in linear square within incuse square. Westermark, Staters, Group II, Series 2, dies O77/R93; HGC 3, 795. Deep iridescent tone, a hint of die wear, some light scratches under tone. Good VF. Well centered.
